WITH CHILDREN
PLAYFUL LEARNING
The Green Karavan project was created with the aim of raising greater awareness among new generations about the challenges of responsible and sustainable development, while also taking into account the new educational issues children face today.
Among these challenges, the growing presence of screens in young children’s daily lives raises many questions. Overexposure, reduced attention spans, and a weakening connection with the real world and with nature are all concerns that led us to imagine alternative educational experiences, based on imagination, reflection, and screen-free interaction.
The Green Karavan universe is built upon an existing collection of educational and playful books: *The Fantastic Journeys of Téo & Léonie*.
This universe is perfectly suited to the project, which encourages respect for our environment while promoting a healthier relationship with learning time. The goal of Green Karavan is to design screen-free, multi-platform experiences capable of addressing these fundamental questions in an engaging and meaningful way, in partnership with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals defined by the United Nations.
The playful and educational universe of Téo & Léonie has enjoyed great success with children, their parents, and also with teachers. Without advertising or marketing, the books have established themselves so strongly that they ranked among the best-sellers at recent Geneva Book and Press Fairs.
This recognition is explained by the priority we give to graphic and narrative quality, but also by our commitment to engaging children on the paths of curiosity, active reading, and discovery of the real world, far from the constant stimulation of screens.
Today, as environmental issues surpass all other challenges facing humanity, we also wish to help restore children’s taste for observation, long-term thinking, and reflection, while passing on unbiased knowledge they will need to make the right decisions in the future.
With the help of leading authorities in their respective fields, we aim to share validated information that is both fascinating and constructive, through educational resources that are accessible, practical, and free from dependence on digital technology.
This information is not intended to make children feel guilty, but rather to motivate them, strengthen their confidence, and calmly prepare them to face the immense challenges that lie ahead.
A Collaboration in the Service of Screen-Free Play
Green Karavan is very honored to take part in the development of the Spin and Play game, a playful and educational screen-free concept that places movement, hands-on interaction, and the joy of learning at the heart of the experience. This project fully aligns with our commitment to offering concrete alternatives to excessive screen use among children.
Through this collaboration, Green Karavan helps promote an active, creative, and inclusive approach to learning, where physical play, imagination, and collective interaction become powerful drivers of knowledge sharing and personal growth.
The Wonderful World of Bees
In collaboration with the Fondation Arche des Abeilles, *Le Monde Fabuleux des Abeilles* is a playful and educational book designed to help children learn about nature and the living world.
Through accessible texts and immersive illustrations, it introduces young readers to the essential role of bees, their organization, and their importance for biodiversity, while encouraging a respectful relationship with the environment—far from screens.
A Collaboration in the Service of Screen-Free Play
Everything becomes an opportunity for fun and play, because play is the very first form of learning and personal development. By placing enjoyment, imagination, and interaction at the heart of our creations, we make the transmission of knowledge natural and engaging.
With this approach, we support communities, museums, schools, and all organizations wishing to communicate about sustainable development in an accessible and playful way.
THE BOOKS
Drawing on our experience in children’s publishing, the special edition books of *Les Voyages Fantastiques de Téo & Léonie* have been designed to explore a wide range of topics, including the evolution of our planet, the protection of animal species, waste sorting, and climatology. These environmental themes, both important and timely, are not exclusive.
Each book is, above all, a beautiful story for children, driven by adventures, emotions, and characters they can grow attached to. The goal is to nurture imagination, a love of reading, and curiosity, while opening doors to understanding the world around them—without ever reducing these stories to a simple ecological message.
